QA – Automation/ BDD/ Cucumber

Experience: 3+ years

Location: Bangalore

Harman JD:

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze, Review and understand software requirement for automation testability.
  • Automation of System level scenarios using Cucumber and Ruby.
  • Create Step definitions / bindings for the feature files and validate user scenarios.
  • Utilize development skills, data manipulation skills and scripting skills to engineer technical, repeatable tests.
  • Constant research & improvement of the Automation framework.
  • Collaborate with Project teams on various frameworks used and effectively reuse the libraries at System level.
  • Ability to lead the teams and technically sound.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • BE / B.Tech / MCA / ME / M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics or Electrical Engineering/ with an excellent academic track record.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Software Development / Automation Testing & At least 2 years of experience with Agile methodologies & Behavior Driven Development (Preferable experience in between 3-6 years overall)

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Should have hands on experience in Behavior-Driven Development & used tools like Cucumber, Rspec etc.
  • Hands on experience in scripting languages (Ruby, PowerShell, Perl, Python, C# etc).
  • Strong Database skills (MySQL & SQL server).
  • Experience on Multiple Test automation tool (Ruby Mine, QTP, Test Complete etc).
  • Exposure to CI / CD tools like Jenkins, Chef etc.
  • Good understanding of test and defect tracking tools (defect logging tools, test management tools, versioning systems, statistical tools, performance monitoring tools, test automation tools etc.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Infotainment Testing – Automation

Education & Training

  • Bachelors in computer science or Electronics and Communication Engineering or related field

Experience

  • experience in Automotive Navigation Feature Testing like Route Guidance, Map (2D/3D), and Destination Input etc.
  • Worked on black box testing of Navigation for features like, Route Guidance, POI, Route Simulation, AddressLookup, Mapdisplay and control, Location Table
  • Sanity, smoke, and regression testing on full test bench

Skills

  • Strong experience in Testing of complete Navigation Features for different Vehicle lines, Regions and Languages
  • Strong Automotive Navigation, Infotainment and Telematics domain knowledge
  • Manual and Automated Test script definition and execution
  • Experience in automation with Python
  • Excellent Communication, Teamwork and Customer Interfacing skills

Job Responsibilities

  • Setting up the test benches, Blueprint, HU, Backend servers, etc.
  • Performs Software Grey box testing for Infotainment features for one or more projects. • Responsible for testing of the entire software system against the relevant baseline set of software system requirements, including non-functional requirements
  • Applies specifications, user guides, use cases, comparable products, and previous known bugs to create and maintain test plans, test designs, and test cases.
  • Identifies software issues and transfers problem issues into the issue tracking system with supporting log files and data.
  • Records, processes, and analyses data with PC based tools and test instrumentation. • Documents testing and creates test reports. Follows defined process guidelines for creating and maintaining test documentation (DanteSTARC & Confluence)
  • Strong professionalism and judgment.
